If you want to work as a Digital Nomad, you must first meet the following requirements:

NOT have Spanish nationality.
NOT to be prohibited from entering Spain.
NOT have a criminal record in your country of origin or
Spain.
Have a salary or earnings of:
- One applicant = 31.752 €/year.
  One applicant + One family member = 43.659 €/year.
  For each extra family member = 3.969 €/year.
Proof of having higher education or having professional
experience of + 3 years.

How to become a Digital Nomad?

The transition to the digital nomad lifestyle can be pursued through two distinct avenues. There is the option to apply for a self-employed digital nomad visa, working as a freelancer. Alternatively, there is the Employment-based digital nomad visa, designed for those working remotely for companies.

The work to be performed under this visa must be conducted online or remotely, and the company must provide authorization for the applicant to work remotely.

To qualify for the employment-based digital nomad visa, applicants must hold an employment contract with a minimum of 3 months’ seniority. Additionally, the company must have been established for at least 1 year.

In order to apply for this digital nomad visa, freelancers must have a collaboration or commercial contract with a company that is at least 1 year old.
